A two car accident on the M4, J35 Pencoed that caused severe delays for commuters this morning has also affected the A48 around Cowbridge.

Although the incident on the motorway is now clear, the diversions that drivers have taken has lead to slow moving traffic on the A48 from Cowbridge to Cardiff.

Posts on social media have encouraged residents to take other routes due to the blocked roads.

The M4 is now completely reopen.
