A local preserves brand sold at the Cowbridge Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings has won Bronze at the annual Artisan Marmalade Awards.

Daisy Graze was presented the award at a ceremony on Saturday, March 26 which was judged by a panel including food writer Dan Lepard, Fortnum & Mason grocery buyer Sarah Metcalf, and David Atherton, food writer and winner of The Great British Bake Off in 2019.

The judges awarded Daisy Graze with Bronze for the marmalade's appearance, colour, consistency, aroma, and flavour.

The awards committee received more than 3,000 jars from over 30 countries including the UK, Canada, Australia, Czech Republic, and Lebanon.

Janine Gray, the owner of Daisy Graze and artisan marmalade maker, said: "We are so pleased to have won this award against such strong competition from all over the world.

"We have been making our marmalade for six years and have always thought that it is some of the best marmalade we've ever tasted, so it's nice to have the award to prove it!"

Sponsored by Fortnum & Mason and Rathbones, the awards raise money for palliative care around the world and, to date, have raised more than £270,000.
