Police Appeal After Spate of Chicken Coop Thefts in Cowbridge and the Vale

Police are appealing for information following a spate of chicken and coop thefts in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The first theft took place in Cowbridge on the 4th of April causing the owner losses of thousand pounds.

This was quickly followed by the theft of the ‘Eglu’ chicken house, together with two bright pink and one lime green feeding containers, were stolen on 19 April from a property in Marcross.

It also contained the owners seven chickens.

It’s understood that people in a white transit van and a red 4x4 truck were seen acting suspiciously in Marcross on the day of that theft.

Anybody who may have information about either theft is urged to contact 101 quoting reference *113211.
