Cowbridge Town Council is flying a flag to mark its commitment to the area's LGBTQ+ community.

The Progress Pride Flag will be raised throughout February, which is designated as LGBT History Month.

A statement from the council says: "We're proud to stand up for LGBTQ+ rights.

"We're flying the flag to raise awareness of the prejudices still faced by LGBTQ+ people.

"It's more than just raising a flag; it's an opportunity to increase the visibility of LGBTQ+ people, their history, lives and experiences – to stand with our community here in Cowbridge.

"Together we can make Wales safe, equal and fair for all LGBTQ+ people."
