Cowbridge Art Society has joined with Holy Cross Church to make use of the peace and tranquillity that the church can offer, making it a great venue for an art exhibition - https://glamorganstar.co.uk.

Rev Duncan Ballard, the Cowbridge Ministry Area Leader, said: "Churches have always been places of beauty, tranquillity and creativity, and so it is very fitting that we have offered space within Holy Cross Church for the inspiring artwork of the Cowbridge Arts Society (CAS).

"The paintings have brought a wonderful sense of light and colour into the church, which complements the ancient architecture beautifully. We hope this will be just the first in a series of collaborations with CAS – and other organisations in the town – as we continue to open up Holy Cross to the people of Cowbridge in new ways."

The Cowbridge Art Society believes it is the largest art society in south-east Wales. Members meet every Monday evening (7pm to 9 pm) in the C14 Function room of the Duke of Wellington pub in Cowbridge. Most meetings consist of demonstrations by professional artists from all over south Wales, the Cotswolds and beyond. The society uses a large screen with audio equipment, so everyone has a clear view. Throughout the year, there are a number of workshops, bus trips and various exhibitions.

Andy Lloyd, CAS programme co-ordinator, said: "We are delighted to have been invited to display some of our work in the Holy Cross Church, Cowbridge. This is a display of constantly changing work, which can be viewed daily."
