Have You Seen The Missing Goats'

Two pet pygmy kids were taken from the back garden of a family from Bonvilston.

The owners, Rhian Osborne and Nigel Greenaway, have made an appeal to the general public in the hopes of discovering their whereabouts.

Rhian Osborne said: ''We believe that the goats were taken between 8.30pm Monday 2nd Sept and 7.00am on Tuesday 3rd sept.

''They had a fenced enclosure in a corner of the paddock which has stock proof fencing and hedgerow on the side running along the lane behind our house.

''Someone must have been snooping around to see them as you wouldn't notice them from the lane along the back of the property unless you were on foot and the lane does not take you anywhere.

''We also have dogs that are loose in the paddock so whoever took them must have known that the goats had their own pen that the dogs couldn't get into.

''We believe they marked a small gap in the hedge with a maroon jumper during the daytime and came back at night in a vehicle and simply lifted them out – they were tame so would have run over to see anyone – even if they came through the bush.

''The children are very upset as the goats are very funny, playful and friendly.

''They have been very upset as are Nigel and I.

''I just don't know why someone would want to steal family pets.

''They aren't a very expensive breed or anything like that and goats are not the type of animal you can sell easily as not everyone has the space to keep them.''

Nigel Greenaway originally stated on Facebook that they would accept the quiet return of the goats without consequence if the person came forward within 48 hours.

Since this timeframe has passed, they will now hand their CCTV evidence into the police.

Anyone with any information should get in contact with the owners directly.
