A major road closure started today on Llantwit Major Road for surfacing.

The road to be closed is Llantwit Major Road B4270 from junction Westgate to junction Church Road.

The closure will be in place from 27/08/19 8.00am to 02/09/19 6.00pm.

However, there will be a break in the works on the 31st and 1st of September to reduce disruption over the weekend.

Intermittent traffic control will also be in place further up Llantwit Major Rd for cabling works to be undertaken from 8.30am to 3.30pm on the 29th of August.

During this period residents will access from the east of the A4222 and diversions will be in place.

The access on the A4222 will be manned at all times and will allow residents, visitors and deliveries to pass through.

Further closures of the road will be announced later on for the completion of the works.
