South Wales' fire and rescue service has agreed to increase the amount of money it takes from council taxpayers by more than 4% next year.

Members of the fire authority which covers 10 local authority areas in South Wales approved the budget proposals for 2020/2021, which will see the budget contributions from those areas go up by 4.25% which would give the service a budget of £74.87 million

The amount that people in Cowbridge, and more widely across the Vale of Glamorgan, could pay to their fire and rescue service is set to go up by more than 4% next year.

A report to go before South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority members suggests increasing the contribution from the 10 council areas by 4.25% so that the total budget is just under £75m for 2020-21.

Police are investigating two reports of indecent exposure in the Cowbridge area and are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.

Both incidents occurred on the footpath between Cowbridge Comprehensive and the town centre, with the first reported on the morning on January 6, and the most recent at approximately 9.30am today.
