The Vale of Glamorgan Council and its developing partners recently met to sign an updated version of the Affordable Housing Partnership Guide.

Representatives from the council's Housing Department, Hafod Housing, Newydd, United Welsh, Wales and West Housing all met to sign the new agreement, which was last signed over ten years ago.

The Welsh Ambulance Service has published a list of inappropriate calls from the past year to signal the launch of its Be Wise Save Lives campaign for people to use 999 sensibly as it heads into the busy winter period.

65,663 calls to the ambulance service were from the Cardiff and Vale area of which 15,263 were considered not serious or immediately life-threatening.

Two directors of the Mughal Emperor restaurant in Cowbridge have received heavy fines for hygiene offences following a prosecution for Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Mamun Miah and Asad Miah were each fined £2,766, ordered to pay costs of £500 and a victim surcharge of £138 at Cardiff Magistrates Court after failing to comply with two hygiene improvement notices served last year.
