Cowbridge History Society talk

Cowbridge Town Hall Lesser Hall

At long last after all the Covid restrictions, Cowbridge History Society will start its annual programme of talks on Friday, October 1st. at 7.30pm in the Lesser Hall (of Cowbridge Town Hall).

The title is 'The World Whistled Their Melodies', and Griff Harries will tell us about the history of songs from Wales, focussing mainly on South Wales composers and the songs they wrote, including Ivor Novello.

Members of the society and anyone interested in joining or attending any of the talks will be warmly welcomed (the membership cost is £7.50 for the year and can be payable at the door).

Certain Covid rules have been put in place for those attending meetings – no Covid symptoms, two jabs before 15th September, use of sanitising gel at the door and maintaining one metre or more distance. The wearing of face masks will be optional.
