57-year-old man hospitalised after collision at Downs Filling Station

A collision at Downs Filling Station this weekend saw a 57-year-old man taken to hospital.
An eyewitness described how a car sped through the station near the A4222, colliding with the pump, which then hit the man.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called on Sunday, 15 August, at approximately 12:47pm to reports of an incident in the Stalling Down area of Cowbridge.
"We responded with one emergency ambulance, one rapid response vehicle and were supported by pre-hospital immediate care specialists from MEDSERVE Wales. One patient was transported to the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend."
Multiple Fire and Rescue crews attended the scene and secured a small fuel spill following a road traffic collision. A stop message was received at 2:11pm, a spokesperson said.
South Wales Police said the man's injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
"Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact South Wales Police, quoting reference 2100287029," said a spokesperson.
