Staff at Cowbridge Library are urging more people to walk through its doors at Old Hall Gardens instead of only using its online resources.
The library is now operating a full service after a gradual reopening of all its services since July 2020, but visitor numbers continue to be low.
Melanie Weeks, senior librarian at Cowbridge Library, is keen to see the library become a busy town centre hub once again. "We've been operating a limited service throughout the pandemic, but now we're back at full capacity and want more people to come through our doors," said Melanie.
"Cowbridge Library is a fantastic resource and open to the whole community. We're delighted to be fully open again to offer all of our services to the people of Cowbridge and surrounding areas."
Since the height of the pandemic, Cowbridge Library has experienced a significant rise in new members online. "We've had many people joining online to use our resources such as PressReader and BorrowBox from the beginning of the pandemic. But inside the centre itself, it's still very quiet," said Melanie.
The library has set up a regular schedule of activities to encourage more people to become a part of the community, such as a Saturday afternoon Lego Club and a Knitting Club on Wednesdays.
