A Christmassy Concoction this Weekend in Cowbridge

Cowbridge is getting fully into the festive spirit this weekend with a wide variety of events coming to the high street.

Join the local community and businesses for the start of the christmas celebrations and enjoy the biggest reindeer parade in Wales.

The light switch on and entertainment will also take place on the sunday with some famous faces gracing the stage to bring a sparkle to Cowbridge town.

Find out the itinerary of the festivities below:

Friday the 22nd:

• Late Night Shopping until 8pm and the start of the Christmas Market at 3pm - Find the perfect christmas gift at the range of boutique and independent stores on the high street or at the markets.

Saturday the 23rd:

• Christmas markets

• Special offers and giveaways from local businesses
  • Santa's Lunch at the Bear Hotel (booking required)
• Golden Key Giveaway - Find the envelope with the Golden Key and claim your prize inside.

Sunday the 24th:

• Introduction at 11am with Holly

• 11:15 - 11:30 Emma Barker

• 11:30 - 11:45 Vale Vocal School

• 11:45 - 12:00 Bont Faen Primary

• 12:15 - 12:30 - THE REINDEER PARADE

• 12:30 - 12:45 - Chainfam Dance Group
  • 12:45 - 13:00 - Santa and Mayor
  • 13:00 - 13:15 - Thomas Pound
  • 13:15 - 13:30 - Paul Dark
• 13:30 -13:45 - Universal Academy of Arts (Performance)

• 13:45 - 14:00 - Dan White Theatre School (Performance)

• 14:00 - 14:30 - Sing along with Ana from Frozen (Disney Act)

BREAK

  • 16:00 - 16:15 - Paul Dark and Special Guest
  • 16:15-16:30 - Elsa from Frozen
  • 16:30 - 16:45 - Harvey Treharne (age 5) and Peyton Stacey (age 9)
  • 16:45 - 17:00 - Community Christmas Carols
  • Lights Switch on and Fireworks - with Santa, Chamber of Trade, Alun John, Ruth Wignall, Lucy and Rhodri Owen and Former Wales and British Lions Captain, Gareth Thomas.
