The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking views on "active travel routes from Cowbridge to Ystradowen" and "options to make the area under the Cowbridge by-pass more attractive and a community space".

Local residents are encouraged to study the materials and respond. The consultation will be open until July 20.

Three possible active travel routes from Cowbridge to Ystradowen are shown and you are asked to give your comments on each one, as well as indicate a preference.

A number of ideas are put forward for improving the area under the bypass by Aberthin Road. They form what is described as "a youth-focused community pocket park offering multifunctional creative spaces and recreational activities."

It is most important that young people respond to this part of the consultation.

The Town Council has been pressing the Vale of Glamorgan Council to take action on the area under the bypass for quite some considerable time and it is good to see that some ideas are now coming forward.
