Apply to become a Cowbridge and Llanblethian town councillor

Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council has six vacancies for councillors which will be filled through co-option.
There are three vacancies for Cowbridge, two vacancies for Llanblethian East and one vacancy for Llanblethian West.
Interested candidates can express an interest in the ward of their choice, but do not need to live in the ward they wish to stand for.
Co-opted councillors have the same rights and responsibilities as those councillors who obtain office through an election.
Councillors are expected to attend the monthly meetings of the council and also serve on several Committees.
The role is varied and enables local people to use their skills and experience to enhance the work undertaken by the council for the benefit of the community.
Candidates need to submit their applications for the role of councillor with a letter outlining:
· the contribution you could make to the work of the council.
· personal qualities that you would bring to the role.
· your availability for attending meetings.
