Local News by Ellyn Wright 17th Mar 2021

BBC studios filmed a scene for Casualty in Cowbridge today.

Filming took place between 2-4pm this afternoon, but the crew was present in town throughout the day.

Lorries and vans were parked at the former cattle market site before filming began through Verity's Court.

Nub News was informed that the scene involved on actor walking through, looking at maps on his phone before turning around.

Both entrances to Verity's Court were used by the crew to transport equipment to the site.

A letter to local businesses announcing the filming last week read:

"BBC Studio have been deemed key workers, as Casualty has been classified by the BBC as Broadcast critical programme.

"We can confirm that the production is following the guidelines and protocols as set out by the Government.

"We can ensure you that the wellbeing on all involved will be considered at all times. We have secured the necessary permits from the local authority.

"We aim to ensure that access is not obstructed and that we keep noise and disruption to a minimum. We thank you for your co-operation and for your patience on the day."

The episode is due for transmission on Saturday 24 July 2021, at 9pm.
