By-election to be held in Cowbridge at the end of September

A by-election will be held for a position on Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council.

The election will be held on Thursday 30 September 2021.

Voters will choose between two independent candidates: Owen Edwards and Beverly Tonkin.

The pair are standing for election to represent the ward of Llanblethian East ward.

New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry by 5pm on Wednesday 15 September 2021.

Applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency which includes Covid-19 symptoms or if you are in isolation or work/service reasons, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 30 September 2021 if they are to be effective for this election.

New applications to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical emergency must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 22 September 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.

If you have not yet received a poll card, check you are registered to vote.
