With the sat nav pointing north, Cowbridge 'Walkers are Welcome' (WaW) group set off to Whitchurch in Shropshire earlier this month to represent Cowbridge at the national annual WaW conference.

Accredited towns from all over Britain were represented and shared ideas and experiences on how best to promote their local towns as great walking destinations.

Cowbridge was formally accredited in 2022 following local consultation and support. https://walkersarewelcome.org.uk/waw-towns-c-d/

Gareth Simpson, Paul Cottrell and Rebecca Exley braved the weather and headed to Whitchurch to help keep Cowbridge on the map.

If your business or organisation would like to get involved and learn more about reaching the walking and walking breaks market, you are invited to make contact.

Could you make a hanging for Cowbridge?

A fine display of wall hangings made by each town accompanied the meeting but one still needs to be created for Cowbridge.

The display is exhibited at various WaW events including the annual conference which moves around Britain.
