Cowbridge: Covid-19 cases fall by more than 80% in the Vale of Glamorgan

Coronavirus cases in Vale of Glamorgan

Covid-19 cases have fallen by more than 80 per cent in the Vale of Glamorgan compared to the previous seven days, reveals official data published today (Monday, January 17).

Some 121 people tested positive for coronavirus today, bringing the total number of people infected in the Vale for the seven days to January 17 to 553.

Compared to the previous seven days, this shows a decrease of 80.8% on the previous seven day case rate.

Vaccinations in Wales

Vaccination data at a hyper-local level in Cowbridge or a local level in the Vale of Glamorgan is unavailable but there information on the national vaccine uptake is provided each day.

2,501,748 people had been given a first dose by the end of 16 January 2022.

2,343, 756 people had been given a second dose by the end of 16 January 2022.

1,835,920 people had been given a booster or third dose by the end of 16 January 2022.
