Cowbridge: Deadline for two council jobs closes this month

The deadline for two positions with Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) With Llanblethian Town Council closes on May 23.

Both Deputy Town Clerk and Town Hall Officer roles are led by the Town Clerk, who is responsible for the effective running of the council and its assets including Cowbridge Town Hall, cemetery, and children's play parks.

The Deputy Town Clerk is a part-time position for 20 hours per week. They would be responsible for supporting, and when needed, deputising for the Town Clerk.

A positive, self-motivated and flexible attitude is required, in addition to reaching deadlines and balancing priorities, as well as taking ownership of areas of responsibility and being community-minded.

The Town Hall Officer position is also part-time for 17.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:30 – 13:30.

This role would be managing all aspects of Town Hall room bookings, providing a reception service from Monday to Friday, and supporting the Deputy and Town Clerk with administration duties.

This role is not for home working.

Both positions require good numeracy and literacy skills together with a competent understanding of IT skills.

Ideally, the applicants will have some experience in administration. But a willingness to undertake training to fill skills and knowledge gaps is essential.
