Conservative MP Jamie Wallis has appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court today to plead not guilty to four traffic offences.

Mr Wallis, 37, who is from Cowbridge, denied leaving a car in a dangerous position, failing to stop, failing to report a road traffic collision and careless driving after a crash in Llanblethian on November 28, 2021.

Mr Wallis was arrested after a late-night crash when a car hit a lamppost.

The district judge has set a trial date for July 11 at the court.

Mr Wallis has been the MP for Bridgend since 2019 and came out as trans earlier this year, the first MP to do so.
