Cowbridge: Dozens of jobs on offer at careers in care recruitment day

Local News by Ellyn Wright 1st Nov 2021

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is hosting a recruitment event with more than twenty local employers to help address a shortage of carers in the area.

The Careers in Care event is being held at the Paget Rooms in Penarth on Tuesday 02 November from 10am to 3pm.

Cllr Ben Gray, Cabinet Member for Social Care and Health, said: "With care providers across the Vale all looking to urgently recruit new staff the Council is hosting an event to bring employers and job seekers together.

"Working in care can be incredibly rewarding. It is a career that allows people to go home at the end of the day knowing they have made a very real difference to someone.

"Our event will have carers employed in a variety of roles on hand to talk to potential applicants about their jobs and the opportunities working in care can bring. If you are interested in a career in care then we'd love to meet you."

Both full and part time jobs are available and no previous experience is necessary. For more information about the event search 'careers in care' on Facebook or email [email protected].
