Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen on Penllyn Estate won the Welsh Farm Shop of the Year award yesterday at the Farm Shop and Deli Show.

The Cowbridge shop picked up the award at the NEC in Birmingham, beating four other farm shops to the top prize including The Gourmet Butcher in Whitchurch, Cardiff.

In a post on Facebook, the team said: "Yesterday we had the honour of being awarded Welsh Farm Shop of the Year at the Farm Shop & Deli Show. Tom, Christine, and Sarah travelled to Birmingham NEC to accept the award on behalf of Forage, the staff and our community.

"From a bare field to Welsh Farm Shop of the Year in the space of three years!

"It's an accomplishment we're beyond proud of and would like to thank each and every one of you for the continued support as we work tirelessly to celebrate Welsh produce, whilst building a sustainable future.

"Thank you for sharing our journey."
