Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival will be held virtually this year, the organisers have announced.

This will be the second year the festival has not gone ahead physically, with the event in 2020 being cancelled due to Coronavirus.

Last year's event would have been the 16th edition of the festival, which takes place every May bank holiday weekend to bring together food producers, chefs and growers from across South Wales to Cowbridge.

"Festival Towers is absolutely buzzing!" the organisers wrote on social media.

"We know it's impossible to run an actual festival this year so we are going to run a virtual festival!

"There will be demos, Chef Masterclasses, online events and plenty of opportunities to buy from some of your favourite producers (with some special festival discounts!).

"All COVID rules will be strictly adhered to."

The organisers also teased that more details will follow in the coming weeks.
