A host of activities and events to keep children busy during the half-term holiday has proved to be a popular hit.
Events such as Drag Queen Story Hour UK, the Mr Marvel Magic Show and craft sessions hosted by Awesome Wales have proved popular with children and families enjoying the half-term break.
The activities were funded by the Welsh Government's Winter of Wellbeing initiative, which aims to help young people gain confidence during a difficult time with the pandemic.
Melanie Weeks, senior librarian at Cowbridge Library, said: "It's been absolutely brilliant! All the events have been oversubscribed, which is amazing. This week, we've seen some of our highest bookings in a long time, even pre-Covid."
General use of the library has also increased. "We've been at our busiest since the pandemic started and figures have gone up by one-third on some days," said Melanie.
Before the pandemic, Cowbridge Library saw an estimated 200 people a day use its facilities. Yesterday, the library recorded approximately 130 people visiting the premises.
Melanie added: "There's still quite a way to go to get back to pre-Covid levels, but people are starting to come back to us now, which is really good."
Cowbridge Library's regular events will resume from this weekend, including Lego Club on Saturday afternoons from 13:30, Storytime on Wednesday afternoons at 14:00 for children under five years old, and Friday mornings at 11:00 the library hosts Wiggle and Rhyme, another under-fives group.
Activities are free to join, but pre-booking is essential.
