Cosy Fox, a Cowbridge plant shop, has announced the closure of its Llantwit Major store.

The team announced this week would be their final week in Llantwit Major.

As part of their closure announcement, the team promised "huge changes" to the offerings in Cowbridge, at the Folk Gather Here shop.

"It's with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of our Llantwit store. Our final day will be next Saturday the 23rd of October," read a social media statement.

"Our Cowbridge store will remain open and we will be making some huge changes to the things that we offer you.

"We're deeply saddened to be leaving Llantwit and seeing all your beautiful faces on a daily basis. We're also excited to be taking on new challenges and we have some awesome ideas about what we can bring you next.

"We're only 10 minutes away in Cowbridge and we'll be fully stocked with all your green goodies so please do come and see us.

"We'll be looking to clear our stock in Llantwit so we're offering a 40% discount off everything starting tomorrow so please swing by and join us in saying goodbye to this store. There's already been a few tears this week and I'm sure there will be more."

Originally the team set up shop temporarily, expecting to stay six months but staying for nearly four years.

"We're incredibly proud of the business we've developed and we wish we could stay here forever, we appreciate every single one of you who have one, or two, or 30 plants of ours in your home," they continued.

"Thank you from all of us and please do keep shopping local us small businesses need it in these times.

"Thank you also to our landlord Ian Hunt who has always been supportive throughout the years. We hope to see you for our final week in Llantwit."
