As members of Rotary International, Cowbridge Rotary are proud of the work it carries out, locally, nationally and internationally during the year.

As a group we aim to bring service to those most in need by the projects and events, arranged throughout a Rotary year, being 1st July to 30th June.

During the lockdowns since March 2019, many things that the club have previously undertaken had to be either cancelled or restricted in its delivery.

However, the club are proud that once again they have been recognised by Rotary International, by receiving the Rotary International Presidents Citation.

The club are judged on what it does through service, work with young people, community support and international projects that it supports.

On receiving the Citation, recently from current President Malcolm Hallewell, immediate past President Steve Pearce commented: "After a difficult year this is tremendous news for the Club. The hard work and innovation shown by our members over the last year has been recognised at the highest level in Rotary International.

"It is a great pleasure to accept the citation on behalf of the Club. What a fantastic closure to my year as President in such a thriving and energetic club"

Along with the Steve's comments the club received the following statement:

"Congratulations to Cowbridge Rotary who have received the Rotary International Presidents Citation. The award is made to Rotary Clubs who show service to their communities in multiple ways. This is not the first time Cowbridge have received this award. We are lucky to have such dedicated volunteers in our community," said Cllr Siân Vaughan, Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council.
