A concert organised by the Cowbridge Rotary Club to celebrate St David's Day is being held tomorrow.

The concert, which will take place at United Free Church on Westgate, will welcome people to enjoy a performance from Rhydian Jenkins, a tenor currently studying an MA in Opera at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Two Rotarians will also recite poems and prose after the interval.

This year will be the fourth St David's Day concert organised by the Cowbridge Rotary Club and the first time it will be held on St David's Day (March 1).

David Harris, 76, organiser of the concert and member of the Cowbridge Rotary Club for nine years, told Nub News: "We're expecting around 55 people attending the concert tomorrow night. We restricted the number of people to 60 because of the Covid situation and we want to have social distancing throughout the chapel where [the concert] it's being held."

Tickets are £10 each and all profits will go to charities supported by the Rotary Club.

Doors will open at 19:00 for the concert to begin at 19:30. Guests are welcome to purchase drinks before the concert starts and during the interval.

Face coverings should also be worn until seated.
