Ignoring the weather forecast last Friday was a good move by the Cowbridge U3A Strollers who met at the Horseshoe Inn, Marcross for a walk to the Nash Point Lighthouse and back.

Walkers enjoyed some sunshine, good visibility and heavy clouds, but not a drop of rain until they got back to the pub!

Twenty-one strollers was a good turnout for an October day that was supposed to be a wash out. The full distance was just under 2.5 miles.

Lunch after the walk was enjoyed by 18 of the strolling group at the Horseshoe Inn.

The next stroll will be on Friday, 28 October, starting from the Three Golden Cups, Southerndown. If you would like to join the walkers, contact group leader Rob Cumbes through the Cowbridge u3A "Contacts" page on their website www.u3asites.org.uk/cowbridge/contact
