The full list of schemes receiving £46m funding from the UK government as part of its replacement for EU funding has been revealed.

Councils were invited to bid for the funding from the Community Renewal Fund in May. Projects proposals were encouraged from both urban and rural areas, aligning with four identified themes and with local priorities:

- Investment in skills

- Investment in local business

- Investment in communities and place

- Supporting people into employment

The Vale of Glamorgan is to receive £1 million of UK Government funding through Community Renewal Fund.

In an announcement made last week, the Vale will receive the funding for six community led projects, which focusses from green issues to community enterprises.

Alun Cairns, MP for the Vale of Glamorgan, greatly welcomed the funding:

"This is the next step in my plan for the regeneration of the Vale and it is fantastic news. The £1 million funding will reach all corners of the Vale through community partnerships. This funding will support local services and improve community links.

"I plan to meet with some of the groups who are set to receive the funding to find out more about how the funding will directly support communities across the Vale."

£450,000, the highest proportion of the funding has gone to Cowork Local, a scheme designed to improve remote working spaces in the Vale which includes spaces in Fonmon Castle and Dyffryn Gardens.

A further £125,000 has been awarded to Barry Bands Together in order to support community regeneration through musical partnership.

The Vale Council also received funding towards Project Zero which aims to reduce the Councils carbon footprint on their road to net-zero by 2030.

While the Levelling Up Fund focuses on infrastructure programmes, the UK Community Renewal Fund will help support local areas to pilot imaginative new approaches and programmes that unleash their potential, instil pride, and prepare them to take full advantage of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Projects receiving funding in the Vale of Glamorgan are:

Barry Bands Together - Community Regeneration through Musical Partnership - £124,437

Cowork Local (Vale of Glamorgan) - £453,849

Enterprise Vale - £106,867

Foundational Economy - Innovation in Procurement - £77,643

Priority Sector Skills Academies - £147,141

STEP IN - £91,294
