Cowbridge's Royal British Legion appeals for Standard Bearer ahead of Remembrance Day parades

The Cowbridge branch of the Royal British Legion is in need of a Standard Bearer or a Parade Command ahead of Remembrance services this November.

On Thursday 11th of November (Armistice Day) the Cowbridge Branch will hold a short service at the War Memorial commencing at 11am.

The service is expected to last no longer than 20 minutes. Serving and ex-members of the Armed Services, are asked to wear their medals.

Members wishing to attend are ask to arrive no later than 10:45am.

On Sunday the 14th November the Town Council will hold their Service of Remembrance.

Members of the Cowbridge RBL branch wishing to take part are asked to inform the Branch Secretary by no later than the 5th November of which of the following options they wish to attend:

1.Ceremony at the Town Hall, the Parade, Church Service and attended the reception in the Town Hall.

  1. Attend only the Church Service and the reception.
  2. Or just the Church service

Poppy stalls will be set up from next week in places around Cowbridge.
