Former Cowbridge resident Rhys Thomas has been busy in the States directing an upcoming Marvel TV show – and now the show's release date has been confirmed.

Hawkeye is set to be released on 24 November this year, on Disney+.

Rhys is born and bred in the area, attending Ysgol Iolo Morganwg and Cowbridge Comprehensive. His father, Alan Thomas, proudly shared the news of his son's progress.

"It's also great for the school to see a former pupil go out and make a name for himself," Alan told Nub News last year.

"I hope everything goes well now with it all and it will be a springboard onto bigger and better things.

"Although I don't know how much bigger it can get – long may it continue," he said.
