Cowbridge is returning to normal... events are back! Take a look at what's going on in the town in our recently revamped What's On section.

To keep you up to date with everything that is going on, we've decided to post a regular 'Event of the Week' article with details of an activity occurring in the local area.

This week, we chose the annual Penllyn Village scarecrow hunt .

Here's how they described their event:

The fourth year in a row that the Penllyn villages are running their Scarecrow hunt.

The event starts at the Winchfield tennis courts and the route runs through the picturesque Graig and Penllyn villages. It ends at the Penllyn Village hall with tea, coffee and cake available.

Various creative and hilarious scarecrows along the route hold poem clues for children to find and the completion of the "scarecrow poem" results in a prize for every child.

There is also the opportunity to vote for the best scarecrow and prizes will be given for those as well!

It's a great day out for big and small kids and the creativity of the villages is really something to behold!

All welcome - £5 per family - tickets on the day. Social distancing observed.
