Flood alert issued for Cowbridge

A flood alert has been issued for Cowbridge by Natural Resources Wales.
The flood alert is the first of three possible alert levels issued by Natural Resources Wales. The warning covers smaller, community-level areas where flooding of properties from rivers or the sea is expected.
Alerts cover large areas where flooding is possible from rivers or the sea.

• prepare your home business or farm for a flood• monitor local river levels and the flood forecast
• farmers should consider moving livestock and equipment away from areas likely to flood• avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water
This alert comes as heavy rainfall has increased the water levels of the River Thaw
