GALLERY: Cowbridge in the sunshine

Local News by Ellyn Wright 8th Sep 2021

The sun may not be as bright today, and with thunderstorms forecast from today until Thursday, we thought we would share these wonderful photos of our town in the glorious weather.

Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday reached the high twenties, in what many described as the last days of summer.

The Met Office has since issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms.

Taken by local Cowbridge resident Alan Thomas, the photos show the wonderful sights at the Physic Garden and the Old Hall Gardens.

Since 2005, the town walls and gardens have been in the care of Cowbridge Charter Trust which has restored and maintained the walls and transformed Old Hall Gardens with encouraging biodiversity as its primary aim.

Old Hall Gardens has been awarded the Green Flag for the last two years, a tribute to good environmental practice.

The Physic Garden is maintained by hard-working volunteers, who meet there every Thursday.

Thank you, Alan for letting us share your images.
