THE MINI Winter Reading Challenge begins today at Cowbridge Library.

The challenge encourages children to keep reading throughout the Christmas holidays.

To take part, sign up on the Mini Challenge website .

Participants can read any books they like, including e-books and audio books, which they rate and review on the website.

Each book reviewed counts towards unlocking special rewards, such as a virtual badge. The website also has activities and competitions.

Children who complete the challenge by 15 January will receive a certificate from the library.

Like the Summer Reading Challenge, the website also features the Book Sorter – a unique database of over 1.3 million peer-to-peer recommendations.
