Fraser Lewis, a volunteer at Emmaus' Cowbridge store, is going to be running the Cowbridge 6km run to raise money for the charity.

Emmaus South Wales is a local homelessness charity based in Bridgend that provides formerly homeless and disadvantaged individuals with a home, meaningful work opportunities and a future.

The charity has six shops throughout South Wales, which provide work opportunities for the Companions and the funding to keep the Community home, where the Companions live running.

''I have volunteered at the Emmaus South Wales Cowbridge shop for over a year now and it's the best place I have volunteered.

''I decided to run the Cowbridge 6k to challenge myself and thought that I could raise money for Emmaus at the same time!''

''I love volunteering in the Cowbridge shop on Saturdays and would like to help raise some money for the Emmaus charity as they do wonderful work, transforming people's lives.

''It would be great to have the support of people within the local community and customers of Emmaus.''

Let's try and raise as much money as possible for this brilliant charity giving a second chance to formerly homeless individuals.
