Cowbridge Coronation Events Group supported by Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council are planning a weekend of events to mark and celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

Mayor Cllr John Andrew says: "Whether or not you are a royalist, this is an historic event. Less than one in five of the Welsh population have witnessed a Coronation before. Cowbridge is an ancient town with records of the marking of several previous Coronations.

"This is our opportunity to mark this Coronation in style."

"The weekend will kickoff on the evening of Friday 5 May with the Mayor's Charity Coronation Dinner Dance at the Bear Hotel in aid of the Mayor's charities: Barnardos and Atal y Fro.

Tickets are £40 each and to reserve your place contact the Mayor ([email protected]) or the Town Hall office ([email protected]) or call 01446 773385)

Following the dinner guests will entertained by local singer Emily Langford after which, for those who wish, there will be dancing to recorded music with The Bear Hotel's resident DJ.
