Cowbridge MP Alun Cairns was the fastest parliamentarian to complete the London Marathon last weekend (Sunday, 23 April).

Mr Cairms, a regular participant in the event, said: "I have found out that I finished Sunday's London Marathon in a time of 03:34:49.

"Big smile on my face to be the fastest in Parliament again this year… we're not competitive at all!

"Thank you again to everyone for your support, all the donations and messages of support have been overwhelming!

"I am so close to hitting my target, all donations go towards supporting vulnerable children.
