Number of reported COVID cases fell in Cowbridge last week

The number of COVID-19 cases reported in Cowbridge last week. Between 31 Oct and 6 Nov, five cases were reported in the area, down from 15 the previous week.

This places Cowbridge in the third lowest decile for COVID rates in Wales, with 77.6 cases per 100,000 people.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council say it is still too early to see the impact the firebreak lockdown has had on transmission rates

Lower Penarth and Sully - 23 cases. 219.2 per 100,000

Barry Island - 25 cases. 256.5 per 100,000

Llandough and Cogan 25 cases, 281.4 per 100,000

Dinas Powys - 15 cases. 186.3 per 100,000

Barry East - 12 cases. 106.7 per 100,000

Barry West - 13 cases. 140.8 per 100,000

Barry Dyfan - 4 cases. 72.9 per 100,000

Palmerstown - 13 cases. 148.0 per 100,000

Gibbonsdown - 7 cases. 69.8 per 100,000

Cowbridge - 5 cases. 77.6 per 100,000.

Preston-super-Ely & Wenvoe - 7 cases. 91.8 per 100,000

Rhoose & Airport - 8 cases. 91.8 per 100,000

Llanwit Major - 15 cases. 167.4 per 100,000

Ogmore-by-Sea and Llandow - 5 cases. 82.8 per 100,000.
