South Wales Police is warning farmers to be vigilant after North Wales' rural crime team received reports of drones being flown over farms.
Police say that drones are being used to view what can be stolen from overhead.
Farmers are warned to watch for drones or suspicious vehicles parked near their property.
"Like North Wales Police, we are also asking our farming community here in South Wales to be vigilant.
"If you see a vehicle parked near your farm acting suspicious or a drone overhead please ring 101 and give the registration number if possible.
Always phone 999 in an emergency.
