Bomb scare a false alarm: Object actually part of old pylon

An object discovered outside Welsh St Donats at the centre of an unexploded bomb scare is actually a discarded part of an old electricity pylon, Nub News has learnt.
The National Grid confirmed to police that the object was not a bomb after over two hours of investigation, the man who discovered the bomb has told us.
Sean Mayor, of PB Dog Care, said he found the item in a field he has recently taken over with his business.
"I saw this thing that looked like like a pipe," he said. "It had like pylons sticking out of it, and I went to pick it up, but then I thought 'oh wait'."
South Wales Police were informed and promptly arrived at the scene.
"The ends of the pylons have two massive connectors and it's just one of them," continued Sean.
"The National Grid have confirmed that when they renovated it they must have dropped it and not picked it up. It's old equipment really, nothing exciting."
"It would have been exciting, but also not having a bomb in the field is nice as well. So it's swings and roundabouts really.
"The police have been there for a good few hours now for something that isn't a bomb, bless them."
