Close Rotary colleagues from Bridgend have been sponsoring Children's Education in Tanzania, by the provision of clean water and sanitization projects Mandaka Primary School in Tanzania, with the help of The Rotary Foundation (Water and Sanitization being one of the Rotary Seven areas of focus).

Rotary Bridgend organized the 50KM bike ride from Mumbles to Laleston which was completed on Wednesday 23rd June, included Steve and great friend to Cowbridge Rotary, Aberthin resident Mike Baker.

The route which was covered in glorious sunshine along the cycle tracks beside the beach made the ride from the start to finish an enjoyable event.

A feed stop on the promenade at Aberavon Beach, was followed by the 'hilly' section to Laleston.

All riders, although tired, arrived at the Mackworth Arms in Laleston happy to have achieved their aims to be met by fellow Bridgend President Dr William Williams and honorary Rotarian, Carwyn Jones, Former First Minister of Wales.

Money raised from the ride will go directly to support the Bridgend clubs work with the school.

Steve conveys his thanks to everyone who has supported him in doing "Good in The World" with encouragement and donations.
