A new interior design and furnishings store has recently set-up shop in Cowbridge, settling into the building that Pebble Clothing had previously occupied.

The owners of Bespoke Sofas and Interiors are holding an opening event this Friday to welcome residents to their new store.

Cowbridge Nub News got in touch to find out a bit more about the business that has moved into the high street scene.

The Owner said: ''Bespoke Sofas and Interiors has been trading for over 27 years.

''We have two sister companies, where we sell sofas and furniture in and around South Wales.

''I have been a customer in Cowbridge for the past 27 years and I've always enjoyed the atmosphere in the town.

''We have noticed that the market for Interior Design, sofas and furniture is limited in Cowbridge.

''That is why we have decided to open a unique store where we are going to offer interior design services such as: made to measure bespoke sofas, curtains and other furnishings as well as original and unique accessories to complete your perfect design.

''We believe in keeping everyone happy and there is nothing we cannot do for our customers.

''I have experienced for myself what a 7-star customer service standard is and that is what we want to offer to our customers in Cowbridge.

''We as a company want to bring a whole new experience to the area.

''Our story also has personal links to Cowbridge, such as the story of our rocking horse.

''27 years ago I saw a beautiful rocking horse in a store in Cowbridge called Zantippi.

''Unfortunately back then, much younger, I couldn't afford to purchase him even though I absolutely fell in love with him.

''While preparing our new store now, I was looking for a rocking horse as a unique decoration for our store, and saw one listed for sale in Swansea and went out to purchase him. I was very surprised to find out that it was the original Zantippi horse.

''He is now returning to his hometown in our new store.

''We can't wait to open our doors on Friday followed by a full opening day on Saturday the 1st of February. Bringing smiles to the people of Cowbridge will be an absolute pleasure.''

The opening event is on the 31st of January, this Friday from 6 pm. Open to the public, everyone is welcome.
