The Welsh Independent Retail Awards celebrate the country's best independent retailers that enhance the local community and economy and there are lots of Cowbridge based businesses which have made it to the finals this year.

The full list of finalists has now been complied and some of the most respected professionals in Wales are up for an award this year.

Four local businesses have made it to the finalist list across a variety of different categories.

The Cowbridge based finalists for The Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2020 are:

• No. 39 - Independent Furniture Retailer of the Year

  • The Cowbridge Book Shop - Bookshop of the Year
  • King Fox Menswear - Menswear Retailer of the Year
• Llandow Carpet Studio - Flooring Retailer of the Year

The ceremony will take place on Monday, April 6th at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff and will gather tried and tested independent retailers who work hard to provide their customers with exceptional services that are second to no-one.

The awards aim to showcase those whose entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to customer satisfaction and ethos have helped them secure a place amongst the top and put them forward to get the recognition they deserve.

The elegant ceremony will highlight the efforts of those suppliers that firstly understand the customers' expectations and secondly, focus on delivering good quality, making them the leading retailers in their field.

A Spokesperson for The Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2020 said: "We would like to thank the Welsh public for all their support over the past few years as we couldn't have done it without them.

"Undoubtedly, independent retailers are the very backbone of the Welsh economy as they make huge contributions to the country's revenue by creating employment opportunities and enhancing the communities they operate within.

"The competition is really tough, but each finalist has its own success story to tell. We cannot wait to celebrate the winners and deliver an enjoyable event.

"We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck."
