Cowbridge MP Alun Cairns held a surgery yesterday (2 August) in town yesterday, as part of a surgery tour of the Vale of Glamorgan.

He told Nub News that it went well and a good number of people joined to speak about a range of issues.

"It was great to be on Cowbridge High Street speaking to local residents about a range of issues, from farming to Coronavirus, and from littering to the future of the Cowbridge Cattle Market site," he said.

This face to face engagement has been something that I've really missed over the course of the pandemic.

"Now that things are opening up again, I am really keen to hold these types of open surgeries which provide an opportunity to discuss the things that matter to our community and how I can support.

"I'm holding these across the Vale and encourage anyone who needs to raise any issues to come along for a chat."
