The Vale of Glamorgan Council is asking Cowbridge residents to report potholes in the area, ahead of 'The Big Fill'.

Repair works are scheduled to take place in the Cowbridge area on Saturday 16 October and Sunday 17 October.

The Council asks that residents report potholes by Friday 8 October, to ensure it is scheduled in for repair during the Big Fill's visit.

If a pothole has been marked white, it has already been reported and the Council is aware of it.

"We respond to each report as soon as we can," says the Council.

"The supervisor on site and our inspectors will prioritise works identified for each weekend.

"If crews are inundated over a weekend, we will add any remaining potholes to our weekly schedule.

"All our resurfacing work is carried out to the standard identified by the highway specifications and contract conditions.

"We follow a strict code of practice for highways maintenance management."
