An outdoor concert in Cowbridge scheduled for May 28 to raise money for the crisis in Ukraine has been cancelled.

The free concert was scheduled to be held on the Bear Field and organisers wanted to hit a fundraising target of £10,000, but limited resources and time have now put the event on hold.

Jon Wilks, 58, chair of the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir and one of the organisers of the concert, told Cowbridge Nub News: "Very reluctantly, we have been obliged to cancel the Concert for Ukraine event planned for 28th May.

"We simply didn't have the time and resources to complete all the statutory activity required within the timescale that we had set. We hope to organise something similar at a later date."
