Cowbridge students leaving school and continuing into higher education during the 2021 - 2022 academic year, are invited to apply for a grant from one of three local charities for each year of their studies.

The Cowbridge Institute Educational Trust and the Evan Jenkins Charity

may help applicants under the age of 25, while Cowbridge with Llanblethian United Charities may help those over 25.

Applications are not means tested, however applicants must live within the qualifying area agreed with the Charity Commission. Students may attend educational establishments outside the Cowbridge area.

Students will also be required to provide evidence of acceptance on their chosen course.

For Cowbridge Institute Educational Trust and Cowbridge with Llanblethian United Charities, the qualifying area of residency is the Town Council area of Cowbridge with Llanblethian.

The Evan Jenkins Charity covers the old parishes of Llanblethian and

Ystradowen, which includes the villages of Trerhyngyll and Aberthin.

Applications are also welcomed from local youth groups and organisations whose members reside within the qualifying areas.

Application forms can be obtained either by emailing

[email protected] or [email protected] or collected from outside 27 St John's Close, Cowbridge, CF71 7HN.

Trustees will meet in late autumn 2021 to consider completed applications.
