Cowbridge Male Voice Choir to hold its first virtual concert this month
Cowbridge Male Voice Choir will be holding its first virtual concert later this month. Performing live from the Grain Store on the Penllyn Farm Estate, the virtual audience will hear the Choir's repertoire from the comfort of their own homes through Zoom. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen joins campaign to transform historic Cowbridge manor house
Interior designer and television personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has joined charity Connect to Purpose, which provides retreats for disadvantaged families, to restore one of Wales' oldest homes here in Cowbridge.

Jane Hutt appointed Minister of Social Justice in Mark Drakeford's new Cabinet
Vale of Glamorgan MS Jane Hutt is the Minister for Social Justice in First Minister Mark Drakeford's new Cabinet team.
Ms Hutt served as a government Minister continually from May 1999 until November 2017, in a range of roles.
In December 2018, Ms Hutt then returned to the Cabinet when she was appointed Chief Whip and Deputy Minister.
Ms Hutt said she was "honoured" to have been appointed to the role.
Wales to move into alert level 2 on Monday
Wales will move into alert level 2 on Monday, the First Minister has confirmed. Indoor hospitality businesses will be able to re-open from Monday May 17; indoor entertainment venues will also re-open and there will be an increase in the number of people able to attend organised indoor and outdoor activities. The First Minister also confirmed that international travel will resume from Monday but extra safeguards will be put in place for people returning from some countries to prevent coronavirus re-entering Wales. Mayor of Vale of Glamorgan re-elected for second term The mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan has been re-elected for a second term. Councillor Jayne Norman, of the Llantwit First Independent party, was re-elected during the annual general meeting of Vale of Glamorgan council on Monday, May 10. The mayor holds a ceremonial role, representing the council in public events, and chairing meetings of the council. The post is usually held for a year. It is a separate position from the council leader.
